I like how this implies they didn't have confidence they could ever differentiate blacks from gorillas reliably.

it's just funny, don't assume ml algos are unbiased and therefore blacks are gorillas. each and every learning algo has an intrinsic inductive bias. the problem here is features are hard to distinguish for these algos for the time being. needs more training, some feature engineering, changes in the algo, etc to distinguish.

Holy fucking kek.
Wait, does this mean that if you feed the algo a gorilla, it will still sometimes call it a human?

No, it'll sometimes call it a nigger.

The celebrity look alike generator will also usually do black people if you put in gorillas.

So what? Stop being racist. Black humans are clearly on par with everybody else and far superior to gorillas.

i'm not here to defend blacks, fren. i couldn't care less about them, you could nuke all of africa rn and i'd think it was funny. this is about ml and ml only for me.

you most love to laugh because africa is the only continent that is still getting bombed from the people having misinterpretations of how to relate to one another.

What's their definition of racism?

A crocodile having more resemblance to an insect than a house does doesn't make an algorithm hostile towards crocodiles if it sometimes claims the crocodile is an insect while not making mistakes with houses.

Yes, anon. Calling black people apes isn't racist at all. Please go ahead and tell your office HR lady it's an objective fact blacks resemble gorillas. I'm sure she'll recognize how logical and non-racist you're being and your job will be safe.

All humans are apes cladistically speaking. Calling niggers people is controversial though.

I'm aware that implying some people are closer to more primitive species than others is racist.
But that doesn't make a machine learning algorithm racist that's not succeeding at its unrelated task.

Like I said, you're completely in the right, so you have nothing to fear by publicly declaring black people resemble gorillas. Everyone who is logical and intelligent enough to recognize this fact should go ahead and tell their HR department and everyone on social media their thinking on this topic with name and picture included so others can identify your brilliance later on when researching you for future jobs you're applying for.

Far evolutionary development is associated with desirable traits (intelligence, etc.)

Saying what? I'm speaking about the adjective of the algorithm, not with what it does. A convex optimization can't have traits like being happy, grumpy or racist.
